On the other hand, there are those who learn best as aural learners meaning that they prefer to actively listen to the information passed to them.

It is the role of the nursing educator to find out how their nursing students learn and reinforce it to achieve the intended outcome.

Nursing learners are determined to gain new knowledge and this is the reason they remain focused at all times on the things they are being taught.

They want to achieve a particular outcome from the classes they attended and this is the reason they actively engage in class. For instance, they can ask the nursing educators questions and also ensure that they are part of the practical classes. Missing a lesson is not a priority because the nurse educators are on a mission to acquire important knowledge.

The manner in which the nurse educators engage in class depends greatly on their learning styles. For instance, those who whisper in class are most likely auditory.

The learning styles adopted by each nurse educator depend on what has worked for them for a long. Many people have the habit of getting attached to one learning style while others are comfortable with trying a variety of learning styles. For instance, they can be good at active listening to lectures, or experimenting.

The visual style learners prefer using visual elements to gain knowledge while the kinesthetic learners prefer the practical or experimental aspect of learners. The impact of learning style for each of the students depends on how they gain knowledge. Visual learners like everything to be well organized to make it easy for them to understand the idea incorporated in the charts or graphs. On the other hand, auditory learners like being in a quiet environment where they can easily get all the information from the auditory devices. When it comes to kinesthetic learners, they are also well organized because any small mistake can result in them getting negative feedback which might affect the outcome of their research.

Visual learners like to concentrate more on what they are observing. As a result, they become more organized with their work. They can remember better when everything is organized such as the drawings on the charts and the diagram. Also, the spellings have to be correct for them to get the right information because they learn best through observing. They also need to see the directions instead of hearing them grasp what is needed from them. As a result, visual learners have the habit of concentrating more on what they are learning. They have to visualize and think critically before comprehending what they need to do.

Teaching strategies differ per teacher. However, in most cases, it depends solely on the learning styles of the students because the goal of the teachers is to ensure that the students pass their examination or acquire the right knowledge. The experimental teaching strategy is focused on the practical aspects. For instance, in every lesson, the teacher would prefer to do practical lessons because he or she has come to an understanding that the students would learn best through experiments. On the other hand, the teachers that prefer the class discussion strategy of teaching allow the students to take part in the learning process alone. For instance, they prefer group work which provides an opportunity for the students to learn from each other. When it comes to graphic teaching, the nurse educator uses graphics that they believe would help in increasing the knowledge that the students currently have on the subject being taught.

The experiential teaching strategy is the best and the reason why I choose it is that it makes all students engaged directly in the learning process. The students not only observe but also listen as they watch what is being done. It means that it supports all types of learning styles. As a result, all the students can benefit from experiential learning.

When it comes to class discussion, the students learn from themselves. They are able to teach each other while also offering new knowledge to each other. Most of the auditory learners are able to learn best through class discussion because it entails talking or discussing of the topic provided by the teacher. The class discussion can also incorporate visuals whereby the teacher gives the students a chart to discuss amongst themselves. It provides an opportunity for visual learners to gain more knowledge or information which would enhance their learning process.

The graphics provide an opportunity for the students to learn by observing. The visuals can stay longer on the minds of the students for a long period making the learning process effective. The graphics, therefore, provides an opportunity for the visual learners to be more engaged. The teacher would use the graphics if he or she thinks that the lesson being taught is complex or requires a deeper understanding through the use of graphs as the students will be able to see what the teacher is talking about. It means that the graphics provide an opportunity for the students to explore knowledge through seeing.
